The Air Multiplier technology was developed by Dyson's 350-strong team of engineers and scientist. It exploits the idea that air is amplified 10-20 times when it accelerates over an airfoil ramp (much like what happens in airplane wings). This induces the surrounding air to be drawn in along with the main air stream through inducement and entraiment. No blades or grills chop the air as it comes out of the Dyson fan. The result: an uninterrupted stream of smooth air!
